Maxicare Health Care is seeking a Junior Medical Technologist to join our healthcare team. You will perform venipuncture and specimen collection, ensuring safety and patient comfort while upholding lab protocols.

Ideal candidates have a BS Medical Technology or related allied health degree and PRC licensure, with 1-2 years of phlebotomy or lab experience. Expect a 5-day work week with rotation and great benefits.

• Graduate of BS Medical Technology, Phlebotomy program, or allied health science
• PRC-licensed Phlebotomist or Medical Technologist
• BLS certification is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and requisition details before any procedure
• Label and handle samples with strict laboratory protocols
• Provide mobile/home phlebotomy services when required
• Ensure patients feel safe, respected, and comfortable
• Perform accurate and safe blood and specimen collection including venipuncture and capillary draws
• Coordinate with laboratory teams to ensure on-time processing and documentation
• Follow infection control practices, PPE usage, and hazardous materials protocols
• Check and replenish phlebotomy supplies
• Maintain logs, incident reports, and patient feedback forms

- What You'll Do -

• Confirm patient identity and requisition details before any procedure
• Label and handle samples with strict adherence to laboratory protocols
• Provide mobile/home phlebotomy services, when required
• Ensure patients feel safe, respected, and comfortable at every stage of the process
• Recognize and respond to any adverse reactions (e.g., dizziness, fainting, hematoma)
• Prepare and transport specimens following cold chain and biosafety protocols
• Coordinate with laboratory teams to ensure on-time processing and documentation
• Follow infection control practices, PPE usage, and hazardous materials protocols
• Check and replenish phlebotomy supplies (needles, alcohol, tubes, etc.)
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and patient feedback forms
• Perform accurate and safe blood and specimen collection procedures, including venipuncture and capillary draws

- Qualifications -

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of BS Medical Technology, Phlebotomy program, or any allied health science course
• PRC-licensed Phlebotomist or Medical Technologist
• BLS certification is an advantage

• 1-2 years of phlebotomy or clinical lab experience is ideal
• Skilled in blood extraction and patient engagement
• Computer-proficient; able to multitask in fast-paced settings
