A leading logistics company seeks a licensed Customs Broker to ensure compliance in the movement of goods through customs. Responsibilities include preparing documentation, lodging entries, and coordinating with clients and agencies for efficient customs operations. Ideal candidates will possess strong knowledge of Philippine customs and have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience.
The Customs Broker is responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods through customs by preparing, reviewing, lodging, and signing customs documentation as required. This role ensures all import and export activities align with regulatory standards, contributing to efficient supply chain operations.
Documentation and Compliance
Prepare and review import and export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
Ensure all documentation complies with Philippine customs regulations and international trade laws.
Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes.
Customs Lodgment
Electronically lodge customs entries through the Philippine Customs E2M System or other government platforms.
Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and government agencies for timely clearance.
Monitor and track lodgments to ensure on-time processing and release of shipments.
Customs Signing (if licensed and authorized)
Sign customs declarations and official documents where required, acting as the authorized signatory.
Represent the company in customs examinations and inquiries when necessary.
Liaison and Coordination
Coordinate with clients, importers/exporters, and internal departments regarding shipment requirements and customs regulations.
Communicate with the Bureau of Customs and other relevant government agencies (e.g., BIR, PEZA, FDA, DA) as needed.
Advisory and Updates
Stay updated with changes in customs laws, procedures, and tariff codes.
Provide advice on HS code classification, duties and taxes computation, and import/export restrictions.
Licensed Customs Broker (required)
Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, or a related field
At least 1–3 years of experience in customs brokerage or related roles
Strong knowledge of Philippine customs processes, HS codes, and valuation methods
Proficient in E2M lodgment system and Microsoft Office tools
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and coordination abilities
