Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is seeking a Java Developer to join our Enginering team in the Philippines. The role focuses on delivering secure, clean, testable code and advancing our multi-channel cloud platform.

You will design and implement features in Java with Groovy, integrate with customer environments, and contribute to our knowledge base while collaborating with engineers and internal users. This position emphasizes growth, learning, and team-driven success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years commercial experience as a developer.
• Strong Java (8+) and SQL proficiency.
• Experience with Guice or Spring.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Unit tests with JUnit and Mockito.
• Knowledge of design patterns and OO principles.
• Experience with Ant, Maven, or Gradle build tools.
• Familiarity with Git or Mercurial.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with Tomcat/WildFly/JBoss containers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features and fixes in Java and Groovy for the platform.
• Work on major features as part of a team.
• Design extensions to customer environments using Java and Groovy.
• Build integrations with customer infrastructure using Apache Camel.
• Write unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Evolve database schema with Liquibase.
• Improve build/deploy systems using Ant, Maven, and Gradle.
• Contribute to knowledge base using Confluence.
• Provide visibility over work using Jira.
• Collaborate with implementation consultants to spec new features.
• Escalate issues to management to meet SLAs.
• Comply with information security policies.
