Job summary

NCS Philippines seeks a Java Developer (Junior to Mid) to join our dynamic development team in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This full-time role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java applications, collaborating across teams, and contributing to the full software development lifecycle from conceptualisation to deployment and support.

You will work with experienced developers to ensure code quality, participate in reviews, and stay updated with emerging Java technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Java programming fundamentals and OO design patterns.
• Proficiency with Java frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot/Hibernate.
• Experience with SQL and writing efficient queries.
• Familiarity with Git and RESTful web services.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Nice-to-have: cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GC), CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy Java applications and components following coding standards.
• Write clean, well-documented code and maintain quality across projects.
• Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Debug and troubleshoot applications to resolve issues timely.
• Contribute to design and architecture of new features under guidance from seniors.
• Maintain and enhance existing Java applications for performance and reliability.
• Participate in documentation and knowledge-sharing activities.
