Job summary

WeSupport Incorporated is seeking a Java Developer to join our IT team. You will assess application system change requirements, craft technical inputs, and collaborate with Business Analysts to prepare design documents and estimates.

You will write code based on technical designs, develop prototypes as needed, perform unit testing, and maintain production systems including fixes and enhancements. A minimum of 3 years of Java/J2EE experience and strong REST APIs skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Java Developer.
• Experience in Java/J2EE Developer or Web services (WSDL, Soap, Restful).
• Proven experience with Java Foundation/Core.
• Proven experience with Restful Microservices/REST APIs.
• Proven experience with Java 8.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot.
• Proven experience with JPA, Hibernate.
• Proven experience with Relational Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent): SQLs, table structures.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Write programs and codes based on approved technical design document
• Develop prototypes as needed
• Conduct unit testing on written codes to ensure program performs per design at unit level
• Coordinate with vendor or conduct investigation and resolution of errors reported during SIT and UAT
• Maintain systems in production and perform production fixes or application enhancements

About the role

Provides high level assessment for application system change requirements and technical inputs for user requirements during the preparation of impact document and business case documents. Collaborates with Business Analyst to provide design inputs and estimates in the preparation of requirements document. Documents system design and program specification in technical design document. Develops prototypes as needed. Maintains systems once they are up and running in production, and performs production fixes or application enhancements as needed. Performs functions in compliance with software development lifecycle standards of the company.
