Short-term training in Japan may be available. Initial responsibilities include daily communication with Japan HQ and supporting Japanese customer audits.
We are looking for a Japanese-speaking professional to support communication between our Philippine operations and our headquarters in Japan. While the primary responsibility is interpretation and translation, this role also offers the opportunity to gradually take on factory operations and administrative responsibilities.
Initially, interpretation work will mainly involve daily communication with the Japan headquarters and supporting Japanese customer audits conducted several times a year. As your knowledge of the business grows, you will be entrusted with broader responsibilities, providing excellent long-term career growth and salary progression.
There are also opportunities for short-term training in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide interpretation and translation support between Japanese and local employees
Serve as the main communication bridge with the Japan headquarters
Support Japanese customer factory audits and business visits
Assist Japanese visitors by conducting factory tours and explaining company operations
Handle general administrative and clerical tasks
Manage inventory records, databases, and operational reports
Learn and support factory and production-related operations
Perform other duties assigned by management
Qualifications:
JLPT N3-N4 or equivalent
Experience living, studying, or working in Japan is highly preferred
Interpreter experience is not required
Good understanding of Japanese culture, business etiquette, and workplace practices
Willing to learn technical and production-related operations in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills (MS Office)
