Job description

Your Mission Brief

As the IT Specialist at Skyrocket Studios, you will establish, optimize, and safeguard our core technical ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology and the CEO, this role sits at the intersection of strategic planning, hands‑on infrastructure engineering, and daily internal client satisfaction. You will oversee the complete lifecycle of our networks, hardware systems, and software platforms, ensuring high team productivity, strict risk mitigation, and robust data security. Furthermore, you will serve as a vital link to HR and operational administration by executing comprehensive asset management, employee onboarding workflows, and structured technical reporting.

Where You’ll Lead
IT Infrastructure Architecture & Setup
  • Lead the design and configuration of robust local networks—including routers, switches, and firewalls—to eliminate unauthorized access.
  • Evaluate and select hardware assets (computers, printers, servers, storage devices) and foundational software platforms (operating systems, productivity suites, and email ecosystems) that align with company demands.
Application Deployment & Performance Optimization
  • Download, install, activate, and customize core software environments to match strict company guidelines.
  • Rigorously test application integration across systems and continuously monitor operational performance to resolve bottlenecks before they disrupt workflows.
Cybersecurity Defense & Disaster Recovery Planning
  • Guard confidential company resources by setting firewalls, deploying active intrusion detection systems, and encrypting sensitive data assets.
  • Map out vital company data dependencies to engineer, test, and execute a comprehensive disaster recovery plan paired with reliable, recurring backup procedures.
Help Desk Services & Employee Enablement
  • Drive internal user satisfaction by addressing help desk queries and diagnosing hardware or software issues with minimal downtime.
  • Lead hands‑on technical training sessions for non‑technical personnel, while generating accessible user documentation, tutorials, and FAQs.
Project Delivery, Scope, and Budget Adherence
  • Keep technical initiatives aligned with strict project timelines and manage constraints to successfully avoid scope creep.
  • Track technical project lifecycles carefully to ensure total adherence to budget parameters and submit reporting on overall budget utilization.
  • Ensure high team efficiency, maintain stakeholder communication, and measure deliverables against quality assurance standards.
HR-Aligned IT Operations & Account Lifecycle Management
  • Streamline corporate security by provisioning individual usernames, secure credentials, and custom, role‑based access control.
  • Own the execution of critical HR‑focused IT workflows, which include continuous asset tracking, asset management, and system monitoring.
  • Conduct standardized asset setup, configuration, and data backups, while overseeing Asset Report processing to provide leadership with visible utility and risk metrics.
Your Crew DNA

Here are some of the specific skills and experiences you’ll bring in this role:

  • Proven experience leading technical teams or guiding major, complex IT implementation projects from inception to completion.
  • Advanced expertise in setting up, maintaining, and managing networks, including routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Advanced capabilities in hardware installation, software configuration, and proactive security deployment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills to efficiently analyze technical errors, uncover root causes, and execute fixes under pressure.
  • Highly proficient in task management platforms such as ClickUp, Jira, Trello, Asana, or Monday.com.
  • Mastery of Google Workspace applications, including Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Calendars.
  • Superior communication skills tailored for breaking down complex tech concepts for non‑technical users, paired with strong organizational skills, time management, and a customer‑service‑driven mindset.
