Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance and manual testing.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence for test management.
• Understanding of Agile software development practices.
• ISTQB or equivalent certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Avia Solutions Group (ASG) Global Services Philippines is looking for a QA Specialist to contribute to the operations of Sensus Aero.

This position is based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig, under a hybrid setup and working on Atlantic Standard Time Zone.

Sensus Aero is a web-based ERP platform built for independent aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) organizations. Designed by aviation experts, it helps MRO companies manage complex workflows — from quoting and work orders to parts logistics, planning, and regulatory compliance. Our product is trusted by MRO clients across multiple geographies and is actively evolving toward a modern, scalable architecture.

Role Overview:

The QA Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through comprehensive manual testing and quality assurance practices. This role is responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and tracking defects, validating system requirements, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Working within an Agile environment, the QA Specialist will help drive continuous improvement in testing processes while ensuring software releases meet business and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, execute, and maintain manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Review, analyze, and validate system requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing to ensure software quality and stability.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution using Jira and related tools.
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality-focused discussions within the team.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation and test execution records using Confluence and other QA tools.
• Provide recommendations and contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes, methodologies, and overall product quality.
• Support release validation activities and ensure software meets functional and user acceptance criteria before deployment.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance and manual testing activities.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and testing lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience performing functional, integration, regression, and other types of manual testing.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for test management, documentation, and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with Xray or similar test management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience working within Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in remote and distributed teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience using Postman for API testing and validation.
• QA certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent.
• Completion of QA-related courses, training programs, or professional development certifications.
• Exposure to test management and quality assurance best practices in enterprise software environments.
