Responsibilities

• Create test cases and scripts for each new feature/enhancement based on acceptance criteria and obtain approval from IT QA Manager
• Execute test scenarios in the UAT/QA environment for each build/enhancement and document results with complete evidence
• Create and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) for assigned projects
• Update test scripts when new test scenarios are uncovered
• Support UAT with the requirement owner and Product Owner/Application Manager and provide executed results for sign-off
• Document details of components that passed UAT for release notes
• Work with clients pre-go-live to test standard scripts and validate client testing results
• Re-execute test scripts for APIs, front-end, dashboard (CBS) after deployments
• Log defects in JIRA with replication steps and evidence; escalate severity to IT QA Manager and retest fixes
• Prepare test execution data for Test Completion Reports and QA artifacts; support IT QA governance and status updates

Job description

The IT QA Associate will be responsible for executing systematic test plans and producing quality assurance documentation under the direction of the IT QA Manager, in accordance with Netbank's IT QA Framework. The IT QA Associate will collaborate with the product development, application management, and client onboarding teams to carry out well-executed and well-documented testing and validation of new IT builds and enhancements. Success in this role will be demonstrated by complete and timely test execution, accurate defect reporting, and proper QA documentation across the assigned workstream.

The IT QA Associate will be assigned to a primary workstream — either CBS (including Netbank Mobile and SwiftGuard) or Peripherals and Internal Projects — and will provide cross-support to other workstreams, including Netbank Virtual APIs, for urgent and high-priority testing. The responsibilities within the role are:

Test Case Creation and Execution

• Create test cases and test scripts for each new feature/enhancement based on the acceptance criteria in the Change Request Form or any equivalent documentation, for review and approval by the IT QA Manager
• Execute the test scenarios in the UAT/QA environment for each component of the build/enhancement and document the results with complete evidence for analysis and decision making
• Create and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) for assigned projects
• Update existing test scripts if there are new test scenarios that have been uncovered

UAT of New Builds and Enhancements

• Support UAT execution for new builds and enhancements in coordination with the requirement owner and the Product Owner/Application Manager
• Provide executed test results and evidence as input to the UAT sign-off of the IT QA Manager
• Document the details of the components that passed the UAT as input to the release notes

UAT with Clients prior to Go-Live

• Work with the Client Success - Onboarding team to execute and maintain standard test scripts per product that will be given to clients to test and accomplish before they go-live
• Assist in validating the results of the testing done by the client based on the applicable test scripts

Regression Testing after Every Deployment

• Re-execute the test scripts for existing functionalities (APIs, Front-end Website, Dashboard, CBS) after every deployment (in both UAT and PROD)

Defect Logging and Tracking

• Log the bugs, issues, and glitches that are found/uncovered during testing in the JIRA boards of the relevant development/technical teams, with clear replication steps and complete evidence
• Escalate defects to the IT QA Manager for severity assessment and triage
• Monitor the fixes for the bugs, issues, and glitches and retest them in the UAT/QA environment in a timely manner in accordance to their criticality

QA Documentation and Reporting

• Gather and prepare test execution data as input to the Test Completion Reports (TCR)
• Support compliance with the Control Gates (CG-0 to CG-4) and QA artifacts defined in the IT QA Framework
• Provide regular status updates on assigned testing activities to the IT QA Manager

The position is an Associate level position and is reporting to the IT QA Manager.
