The IT Officer is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and support of the company’s information technology systems, ensuring uninterrupted operations of business-critical applications used in brokerage processes such as documentation, customs clearance, shipment tracking, and internal communication systems. The role supports operational efficiency by ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized IT infrastructure.This role will be working together with our IT Senior Associate and will be focused on System and Automation Development.
Job Responsibilities
1. Systems & Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and monitor company servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.
- Ensure continuous availability of brokerage systems (e.g., documentation systems, ERP, tracking tools).
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
2. Application & Business System Support
- Provide technical support for brokerage-related systems (customs documentation, shipment tracking, client portals).
- Coordinate with software vendors for system issues, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Assist in system configuration to align with operational requirements.
3. Network & Security Management
- Manage LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and firewall configuration.
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive shipment and client data.
- Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with IT policies.
4. User Support & Training
- Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees.
- Train staff on proper use of systems and applications.
- Develop user guides and IT process documentation.
5. Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure data integrity of operational and client databases.
- Perform regular data backups and recovery testing.
- Assist in generating system-based reports for management.
6. Project & System Improvement
- Support IT-related projects such as system upgrades, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency in Company workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- At least 2–4 years of IT support or systems administration experience (preferably in logistics, brokerage, or operations-driven industries).
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers and network administration
- Familiarity with ERP or logistics/brokerage systems
- Understanding of database management (SQL basics preferred)
