Job summary

iScale Solutions seeks an experienced MSP/networking specialist for remote work serving clients across multiple sites. You will design, deploy, and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructure, including VPNs and firewalls, while providing proactive monitoring and rapid issue resolution.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in multi-client IT services, deep networking expertise, Windows Server/AD proficiency, and strong English communication skills to deliver high-quality remote support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of MSP or multi-client IT services experience.
• Extensive hands-on networking knowledge: routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, security.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across time-sensitive multi-site environments.
• Clear phone communication with clients and residents of varying backgrounds.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience supporting business/consulting clients and multi-tenant environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, MS 365/Entra, and MSP tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and firewall infrastructure for clients and internal environments.
• Monitor network performance and resolve issues; manage switches, routers, firewalls, APs, and other network hardware.
• Administer AD, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and security policies; apply patches and lifecycle updates.
• Escalation point for Tier 1-3 tickets across multiple client accounts.
• Conduct network assessments and provide upgrade and security recommendations.
• Support onboarding, including audits, documentation, and migrations.
• Document network diagrams, configurations, and procedures for each client environment.
• Design and maintain bulk internet, Wi-Fi, and managed services for clients.
• Troubleshoot resident connectivity issues; coordinate with property management/ISPs.
• Remotely configure, monitor, and support headend equipment and in-building wireless infra; coordinate with on-site techs.
• Ensure network uptime and service quality across properties.
• Provide clear, professional phone and remote support to clients and residents.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues independently; maintain ticket notes and after-hours coverage.

This is a remote position.

• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and firewall infrastructure for clients and internal environments
• Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues before they escalat[e] Manage switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and other network hardware
• (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, SonicWall, or similar)
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security policies Perform patching, firmware updates, and lifecycle management of network equipment
• Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1-3 tickets requiring network expertise across multiple client accounts
• Conduct network assessments and provide consulting recommendations on infrastructure upgrades, security posture, and best practices
• Support new client onboarding, including network audits, documentation, and migrations
• Document network diagrams, configurations, and procedures for each client environment
• Design and maintain bulk internet, Wi-Fi, and managed network services for MDU/property clients
• Troubleshoot resident-facing connectivity issues and coordinate with property management/ISP partners
• Remotely configure, monitor, and support headend equipment, distributed antenna systems, and in-building wireless infrastructure, coordinating with on-site technicians as needed
• Ensure network uptime and service quality across multiple properties
• Provide clear, professional phone and remote support to clients and residents of all technical skill levels
• Diagnose and resolve complex, multi-layered technical issues independently
• Maintain accurate ticket notes, documentation, and after-hours/on-call coverage as needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of high-level MSP (or similar multi-client IT services) experience
• Extensive hands-on networking knowledge: routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and network security fundamentals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues under time pressure across all levels (Tier 1 through advanced/escalation-level work)
• Comfortable and effective communicating by phone with clients and residents of varying technical backgrounds
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Experience supporting both business/consulting clients and larger managed infrastructure (e.g., multi-site or multi-tenant environments)
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Microsoft 365/Entra, and common MSP tools (RMM, PSA/ticketing platforms) - we are a heavily Microsoft-centric environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple client environments and competing priorities simultaneously
