Job Summary

The Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting the company's quality management program to meet regulatory and statutory requirements. The role ensures departments comply with standards, supports internal audits, provides oversight on risk and data protection, and implements the organization's Compliance Strategy. The Compliance Officer also monitors, reports, and advises on compliance-related risks to strengthen operations and advance IPO objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal audits of controls across business processes (compliance, security, risk, governance).
  • Support external audits (SSAE18 framework: SOC1 & SOC2, ISO 9001, ISO).
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to evaluate controls, assess risks, and implement remediation actions.
  • Communicate findings to senior leadership, management committees, and stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Support implementation of the organization's Compliance Strategy.
  • Assist the Compliance Manager in developing, updating, and communicating compliance policies.
  • Provide guidance and training on compliance-related matters.
  • Maintain and oversee privacy and data protection records (e.g., RoPA, impact assessments, legitimate interest assessments).
  • Provide insights on compliance with evolving legislation and standards (e.g., GDPR).
  • Support ongoing monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of compliance processes.
  • Escalate potential risks or exposures related to data security.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in a highly technical environment (e.g., information systems, finance, engineering).
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience conducting or supporting regulatory audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 27001, SSAE18).
  • Experience engaging with external agencies (e.g., ISO Auditors) and applies risk management standards (e.g., ISO).
  • Manages varied workstreams within agreed timeframes.
  • Demonstrates self-motivation and continuously expands compliance knowledge.
  • Embraces and promotes change and continuous improvement.
  • Clear and coherent communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Screening Criteria
  • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a compliance, governance, or audit-related role.
  • Must have stable employment history.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
