Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of cyber security, Unix or Linux administration, security compliance or related experience.
• Applied knowledge of one or more languages – Python, Bash script, PowerShell, scripting.
• Knowledgeable on CMDB, security tools, OWASP Top 10.
• Good working knowledge of computer networks, databases, Win/Linux OS security, web applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems or related field.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, lifelong learner, solutions-oriented.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to operate in a matrixed environment and articulate ideas effectively.

• Ability to establish good networking relationships within and outside of ITD.
• Ability to anticipate security risks, provide recommendations, or address less complex issues proactively.
• Work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.

How can you contribute to the team?

Responsibilities:

• Perform cyber security hygiene and ensure security tools and controls are set during resource migration from on-premises VDC to Azure VDC.
• Assist in security configuration reviews, solution design, and functional requirements documentation.
• Update and maintain CMDB asset information during migration to Azure, including discovering new devices and service mappings.
• Enhance cyber security hygiene checks and processes through automation.
• Assist in developing, updating, or reviewing information security regulations and processes.

• Identify opportunities to improve or strengthen security controls or processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
