Job summary

The role requires Mandarin and Japanese language proficiency, 1–3 years in corporate banking, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 1-3 years of work experience in corporate Banking.
• Fundamental knowledge of Fixed income cash & derivatives and other financial instruments.
• Mandarin and Japanese language proficiency (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Data input and approval of Standard Settlement Instructions in downstream systems.
• Ensure adherence to processing guidelines (KOP).
• Monitor mailboxes for processing and queries.
• Participate in team meetings and knowledge sharing.
• Complete mandatory training courses on schedule.
• Plan leaves and breaks aligned with deliverables and HR Workday updates.
• Achieve 100% productivity targets and 2-eye processing within SLA and 100% accuracy.
• Identify automation opportunities and reduce manual intervention.
• Find and remediate process gaps with improvement ideas.

Overview

The Reference Data & SSI Operations Analyst is responsible for managing, validating, and maintaining high-quality strategic data across the organization's systems. This role ensures data accuracy for regulatory compliance and business operations, handles the end-to-end setup of Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs), and collaborates with key stakeholders to support long-term data efficiency and risk management.

Your key responsibilities

• Data input & approval of Standard Settlement Instructions in downstream system.
• Ensuring the processing guidelines (KOP) are followed with diligence.
• Monitoring the mailboxes in terms of processing and queries.
• Participating in employee engagement activities & effective participation in team huddle and contribution in regular meetings.
• Ensuring the mandatory training courses are completed within the time.
• Leaves and breaks need to plan in line with process deliverables, ensuring timely updates on HR- Workday.
• Meet productivity target of 100% and make sure the 2 eye processing is completed within agreed SLA & 100% accuracy.
• Change: Identify possible automation opportunities and reduce manual intervention.
• To work in the direction of finding process gaps and ideas to remediate the same.

Your skills and experience

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
• 1 to 3 years of work experience in corporate Banking
• Basic knowledge of Banking operations/Financial Products (Fixed income cash & derivatives Financial Products and financial instruments including Futures, Options, Swaps).
• Mandarin and Japanese language proficiency (verbal and written)
• Microsoft Office/Suite proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Good communication skills.
• Interaction with the Middle Office and/or Clients to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all life cycle events.
• Must be able to work well and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure that all work is delivered, meet the agreed production standards, and SLA timeframes & be responsible for all process related MI reports
• Keep team management informed of status of cases and proactively identify and flag issues.
• Creating the EOD (Log reports) for the transactions processed daily.
• Ensure EOD controls
• Will follow APAC work hours (9AM-6PM, M-F)
• Able to work under pressure and against challenging timescales.
