Job summary

Inchcape Philippines is seeking an Internal Controls Senior Specialist to drive a risk-based control culture across APAC markets. You will identify control gaps, provide reporting insights, and partner with Finance, Operations, HR, and IT to embed practical controls aligned with Group methodology.

The role covers multi-market operations and requires collaboration with audit and risk teams while promoting governance and data protection in a dynamic automotive group.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 6+ years PQE, ideally Big 4 or equivalent background.
• Deep knowledge of internal controls, risk, and governance.
• Experience designing and leading global control frameworks, including IT controls.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence across the organization.
• Strong analytical and GRC capabilities for continuous monitoring.

Our Finance team is seeking an Internal Controls Senior Specialist. In this position, you will play a critical role in driving a consistent, risk-based internal control culture, enabling timely identification and remediation of control gaps, and providing clear reporting and insights to APAC stakeholders. The role provides regional coverage across a multi-market, multi-brand footprint and works closely with Finance, Operations, HR, IT/Security, and other functional leaders to embed effective controls that are practical for local operations and aligned to Group methodology.

What you’ll do:

• Controls leadership & integration: Lead integration of new businesses into the control environment, while promoting compliance culture through guidance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Internal controls & assurance: Plan and execute the full controls assurance cycle, support self-assessments and certifications, and track/remediate control gaps with timely escalation.
• Controls design & optimization: Partner with stakeholders to design and embed effective controls across key processes, drive standardization, and implement practical improvements based on root-cause analysis.
• Technology, reporting & risk insights: Manage controls tooling and reporting, using dashboards and data to monitor compliance, identify trends, and support risk-based decision-making.
• Stakeholder engagement & transformation: Act as a trusted business partner across functions, support change programs (e.g., ERP), deliver training, and collaborate with audit and risk teams.
• Leadership, risk & governance: Lead team development, strengthen enterprise risk management and commercial controls, and ensure strong governance, data protection, and hybrid working compliance.

About you:

• Qualifications & experience: Qualified accountant with 6+ years PQE, ideally with Big 4 or equivalent background.
• Controls & governance expertise: Deep knowledge of internal controls, risk, and governance, with experience designing and leading global control frameworks, including IT controls.
• Strategic leadership & influence: Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders (e.g., CEO, CFO, Directors) and build credibility across the organization.
• Analytical & GRC capability: Strong expertise in integrated control frameworks (GRC), continuous monitoring, and analyzing complex processes to identify risks and solutions.
• Stakeholder & communication skills: Effective communicator and collaborator across cultures and matrix structures, able to guide and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Execution & integrity: Skilled in prioritizing multiple initiatives, delivering results, and maintaining high standards of ethics, discretion, and confidentiality.
