Job summary

QBE Group Shared Services Centre is seeking a full-time finance professional to support timely statutory reporting, regulatory returns, and group reporting packs. You will help standardise and automate financial reporting and analytics while collaborating with various finance units.

The role requires experience in accounting, data manipulation, and working with internal customers to ensure high-quality reports and continuous process improvement within a shared services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in project lifecycle management.
• Experience in data manipulation and visualization using reporting/BI tools and MS Excel.
• Experience managing relationships with internal customers.
• Moderate experience in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Focuses on medium-term objectives and provides input to business or function strategy.
• Understand & suggest improvements for policies, procedures, and processes across departments.
• Maintain compliance requirements and individual accreditation levels.
• Establish and maintain efficient relationships between Finance and Business Unit Finance staff.
• Prepare statutory accounts, branch accounts, group reporting packs, and regulatory returns accurately and timely.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting and analytics.
• Comply with regulatory and statutory requirements for external reporting.
• Assist Line 1 and the Financial Control Lead in ensuring the delivery of quality of reports through reviews and audits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeThe purpose of this role is to support the timely and accurate fulfilment of QBE's financial reporting obligations, encompassing statutory, regulatory, and group requirements. This position plays a role in driving the standardisation, industrialisation, and integration of financial reporting and analytics to support ongoing operational excellence.

Necessary Work Experience includes

• Significant experience in managing relationships with internal customers.
• Moderate experience in an accounting role.

Preferred Qualifications include

• Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Certifications as an accountant.

Travel Frequency

Occasional (approximately 5-10 trips annually)
