Job summary

GainStrong is seeking a seasoned internal auditor to lead financial and operational audits within the microfinance sector. The role emphasizes identifying discrepancies and recommending process improvements to mitigate risk. You will report directly to the ExeCom and attend weekly Management Committee Meetings.

The ideal candidate brings strong coaching/training skills, exemplary documentation, and a disciplined work ethic to drive robust controls across the organization.

Qualifications

• Requires IA experience in microfinance/lending (financial and operational).
• Must have managerial/supervisory experience.
• Coaching/training skills are required.
• Excellent in report writing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial and operational audits and identify discrepancies.
