Job summary

San Miguel Equity Investments, Inc. (SMEII) is seeking an Internal Auditor to strengthen governance and risk management across the group’s cement manufacturing and heavy building materials businesses.

You will plan and perform financial and operational audits, prepare comprehensive reports, discuss findings with management, and monitor corrective actions. The role involves engaging with stakeholders across manufacturing, logistics and supply chain, sales and marketing, information technology,

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy degree is required.
• CPA highly preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in auditing.
• Experience in a manufacturing company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare audit reports in line with the approved audit plan.
• Report and discuss audit findings, recommendations, and significant issues to Management.
• Communicate audit progress and findings during status meetings; review working papers and final audit reports.
• Conduct financial and operational audits in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, sales and marketing, IT, HR, and safety.
• Engage with stakeholders across the company to communicate findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.

Job description

The Internal Auditor position will be assigned to San Miguel Equity Investments, Inc. (SMEII), a wholly owned subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation (SMC) that oversees the Group’s cement manufacturing and heavy building materials businesses, including its investments in Northern Cement Corporation and Eagle Cement Corporation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare audit reports in line with the approved audit plan
• Report and discuss audit findings, recommendations, and significant issues to the Management
• Communicates audit progress and findings by providing information in status meetings; highlighting unresolved issues; reviewing working papers; preparing final audit reports
• Conducting financial and operational audits and reviews in the different areas of manufacturing, logistics and supply chain, sales and marketing, information technology, human resources, and safety; to name a few
• Engage with a variety of stakeholders across the company and communicate the findings, recommendations, and follow-up of audit reports

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of BS Accountancy is a must for this position
• CPA highly preferred
• With at least 2 years of working experience in the related field
• Was able to handle a client or came from a manufacturing company
• Ability to communicate and interact with colleagues in the different levels of management
