Job summary

Yulick Food Corporation is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our Executive team in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. The role oversees the internal audit function, strengthens governance, risk management and compliance, and protects assets while driving operational efficiency through strategic audit oversight.

The candidate will lead audits across financial, operational and compliance areas, mentor the audit team, and liaise with senior management and the audit committee.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years in internal audit with 3-5 years in management/supervision
• Experience implementing internal audit plans aligned with risk-based frameworks
• Knowledge of ISPPIA/IS standards and governance best practices
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements in the Philippines
• Ability to design audits across financial, operational and compliance areas
• Proven ability to mentor audit teams and ensure audit quality

About the role

Yulick Food Corporation is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our Executive team. This is a full-time position based in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. As Internal Audit Manager, you will play a crucial strategic role in overseeing our internal audit function, ensuring robust governance, risk management and compliance across the organization. This position is instrumental in protecting organizational assets, enhancing operational efficiency and maintaining stakeholder confidence through comprehensive audit oversight and recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive internal audit plan aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives and risk profile
• Direct and supervise internal audit activities, ensuring all audits are conducted in accordance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (ISPPIA)
• Conduct risk assessments and internal audits across all business units and functions, including financial processes, operational controls, compliance and governance matters
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management frameworks and governance processes
• Review financial statements, accounting records and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Identify weaknesses in controls and processes, and develop practical recommendations for improvement
• Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to senior management and the audit committee
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track corrective actions
• Lead and mentor internal audit team members, fostering professional development and maintaining audit quality standards
• Maintain independence and objectivity in all audit activities whilst fostering collaborative relationships with operational teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, accounting standards and internal policies
• Assess fraud risks and investigate suspected irregularities as required

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in internal audit, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• Extensive knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk management frameworks and governance best practices
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements in the Philippines
• Proven experience in designing and implementing audit plans and conducting various types of audits including financial, operational and compliance audits
• Excellent knowledge of control frameworks, risk assessment techniques and audit sampling methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor audit teams effectively, building capability and maintaining audit quality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex audit findings clearly to senior management and boards
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
• High level of integrity, discretion and professional judgement
• Experience in the food and beverage industry or FMCG sector is advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance in food manufacturing is preferred
