Job summary

YourBookkeepersOnline (YBO) is seeking an experienced auditor to join its remote audit division. You will work closely with the senior auditor and audit director, planning audits from start to finish and training on the job.

Requirements include CPA with at least two years of audit experience, proficiency with MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks or SAASU, strong English skills, and ability to engage clients mainly by email.

Qualifications

• CPA qualified with at least 2 years of working experience.
• Experience in modern cloud accounting software (MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, SAASU) is highly regarded.
• At least 2 years of Audit experience.
• Experience in Australian accounting and its multi-client service environment is a plus.
• Strong English – both written and verbal for Australian clients.
• Able to engage with clients mainly via email.
• Eager to learn & develop professionally.
• Adaptable to changing dynamic client environments.
• Team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Audit planning, execution and sign-off with the audit director.
• Remote auditing for diverse clients including large private, NFPs and foreign subsidiaries.
• Prepare audit files and working papers.
• Communicate with audit team and clients via email.
• Evaluate audit results and material misstatements.
• Provide progress updates and significant findings.
• Adhere to independence and client confidentiality.
• Ad-hoc advisory work when required (due diligence).

Job description

One will be working as a key part of the audit division, reporting to but also working closely with the senior auditor and audit director, running audits from planning to completion while also training on the job. Duties will include but not be limited to;

• Working remotely on the audits for a variety of clients including large private, NFP’s and foreign subsidiaries;
• Taking charge of audit files and ensuring deadlines are met;
• Planning of audits right through to completion and sign off by the Director;
• Preparing audit files and working papers for completion;
• Communicating with the audit team and clients, where required;
• Addressing technical issues and assisting in the preparation of research papers;
• Evaluating audit results and material misstatements;
• Providing feedback reports on progress updates and significant findings;
• Adhering to the independence and ethical requirements of each engagement, and keeping client information confidential;
• Evaluating financial statements for compliance with accounting standards;
• Ad-hoc advisory work when required (due diligence etc);

Minimum Qualifications

Typical background experience and qualities we seek:

• Experience in modern cloud accounting software (MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks, SAASU) will be highly regarded
• CPA qualified with at least 2 years of working experience
• At least 2 years of Audit experience necessary
• Experience in Australian accounting and its multi-client service environment is a plus.
