Job summary

REED ELSEVIER SHARED SERVICES (PHILIPPINES) INC. seeks an experienced Intercompany Accountant to manage R2R processes, intercompany billing, and balance reconciliations within a multinational finance team.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting functions, strong Excel and ERP system experience, and excellent English communication. Candidates should be able to handle multiple priorities and collaborate across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related field.
• Minimum of four years of experience in Record-to-Report, General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Billing, or Intercompany Accounting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for financial data analysis.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
• Experience in medium to large-scale organizations with structured finance operations.
• Experience in multinational/global environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and locations.
• Ability to learn and apply enterprise AI tools to support workflows.

Responsibilities

• Process intercompany billings, including invoices and credit notes, accurately and timely.
• Monitor recognition of intercompany revenues and expenses across entities.
• Facilitate settlement of intercompany balances and investigate aged items.
• Perform month-end close activities for intercompany accounting.
• Review intercompany balances for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare management reports, analyses, and presentation materials.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with intercompany insights.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of balances and reporting activities.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Serve as a key contact for business units and finance teams on intercompany matters.
• Respond to inquiries and analyze accounting results as needed.
• Drive timely resolution of issues through stakeholder collaboration.
• Promote governance and internal controls adherence.
• Identify process improvements to streamline intercompany operations.
