Job summary

RGP is seeking an experienced Intercompany & Procurement Accountant to support finance activities related to divestiture and legal entity separation projects. The role will support the accounting workstream in separating intercompany relationships, procurement transactions, vendor balances, purchase orders, and financial data between the divested entity and the remaining organization.

Qualifications

• The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience in a shared services/global environment preferred.
• Experience with intercompany accounting, GL, AP or procurement accounting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and identify intercompany transactions and balances impacted by legal entity separation.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and investigate mismatched balances between entities.
• Support separation, settlement, or transfer of intercompany balances as part of divestiture.
• Coordinate with counterparties and finance teams to resolve intercompany discrepancies.
• Prepare and support journal entries for intercompany settlements and separation activities.
• Ensure intercompany transactions are reflected in the appropriate legal entities after separation.
• Support period-end close activities and related accounting analysis for separation.
• Review procurement transactions, POs, invoices and vendor balances affected by separation.
• Identify POs, vendors, open commitments to transfer/close/retain.

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Intercompany & Procurement Accountant to support finance activities related to divestiture and legal entity separation projects. The role will support the accounting workstream in separating intercompany relationships, procurement transactions, vendor balances, purchase orders, and financial data between the divested entity and the remaining organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure transactions and balances are accurately identified, reconciled, transitioned, and properly accounted for throughout the separation process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Intercompany Accounting & Separation

• Analyze and identify intercompany transactions and balances impacted by the legal entity separation.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and investigate outstanding or mismatched balances between entities.
• Support the separation, settlement, or transfer of intercompany balances as part of the divestiture.
• Coordinate with counterparties and finance teams across entities to resolve intercompany discrepancies.
• Prepare and support journal entries related to intercompany settlements, transfers, and separation activities.
• Ensure intercompany transactions are appropriately reflected in the respective legal entities following separation.
• Support period-end close activities and provide accounting analysis related to the separation.
• Review procurement transactions, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor balances impacted by the legal entity separation.
• Identify POs, vendors, open commitments, and procurement-related transactions that need to be transferred, closed, or retained.
• Support the separation and transition of vendor accounts and procurement activities to the appropriate legal entity.
• Reconcile procurement-related balances and investigate discrepancies between POs, goods receipts, invoices, and accounting records.
• Support the resolution of outstanding GR/IR and procurement-related balances prior to separation.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, business stakeholders, and vendors where necessary to resolve outstanding transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a Shared Services, Global Business Services, or multinational environment.
• Extensive experience in Intercompany Accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable or Procurement Accounting
• Experience supporting divestitures, mergers & acquisitions, legal entity separations, carve-outs, or finance transformation projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience working with SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when working with large volumes of financial data.
• Ability to work across multiple functions, legal entities, and geographical locations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a project-driven and deadline-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience analyzing and separating intercompany balances and transactions.
• Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Experience with GR/IR reconciliation and purchase orders.
