Leading the way in financial IT service market in Korea, we now seek to expand our expertise to the APAC. Work Location: Singapore / Philippines / Vietnam
Role Purpose
We are looking for an Integration SME to support a core banking transformation program for a client based in the Philippines. Unlike the module-specific SME roles, this position owns integration design end-to-end across all core banking domains — Payments, Trade Finance, Lending, GL, and Markets — ensuring a coherent, well-documented integration architecture between the core banking platform and its upstream/downstream ecosystem.
This is a core banking implementation role. The candidate must have hands-on, end-to-end experience delivering core banking transformation programs (not advisory-only exposure), and must be comfortable working directly with product vendors to challenge, validate, and finalize the To-Be system design.
The candidate should be able to work across product SMEs, business stakeholders, the Solution Architecture team, and platform vendors to design, document, and obtain sign-off on integration solutions, and should be comfortable being the cross-domain integration authority on the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for cross-domain integration architecture during requirement analysis, solution design, build, testing, and cutover phases.
- Engage directly with product vendors and product SMEs (Trade, ACBS, CASA/Common Services, Payments, Murex) to align on integration touchpoints and drive decisions on the To-Be integration design.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders, interface teams, the Solution Architecture team, and platform vendors to gather, validate, and finalize integration requirements.
- Own preparation of Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) and integration architecture artifacts, and drive review and sign-off with all upstream and downstream teams.
- Coordinate integration testing (SIT/end-to-end) across domains, triage cross-system defects, and drive resolution with vendors and delivery teams.
- Support cutover planning and hypercare across all integrated domains through go-live.
- Manage stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor teams, and proactively escalate cross-domain integration risks and issues.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, with substantial hands-on experience designing integration architecture in core banking transformation programs.
- Demonstrated experience integrating core banking with Payments, Trade Finance, Lending, GL, and Treasury/Markets systems (e.g., Murex).
- Experience with middleware/integration layers such as ESB, API Gateway, or iPaaS platforms.
- Experience developing source-to-target data mapping and transformation logic across multiple domains.
- Experience supporting SIT/end-to-end testing, and troubleshooting integration defects across systems.
- Working knowledge of security and compliance requirements for banking/payment integrations (e.g., OAuth2, SSL, regulatory compliance).
- Proven experience working as an individual contributor who can independently drive solutioning, documentation, and approvals across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting cross-domain integration solutions to senior stakeholders and vendors.
- Should be in the Philippines for entire duration of the project.
Good to Have
- Prior experience as a techno-functional integration lead spanning core banking plus payments/trade/lending domains.
- Exposure to treasury/markets integration (e.g., Murex) for trades, risk, and P&L feeds.
- Experience monitoring integration SLAs, throughput, and latency in a production banking environment
