The Senior Integration Developer works closely with business stakeholders, architects, and project managers, and is responsible for developing new integrations, enhancing existing ones, and providing ongoing support.
1. Integration Development
- Design and build integration components using
- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure API Management
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure Event Grid
- Azure Functions
- Write Open API specifications ahead of implementation (spec-first) and implement payload transformations to and from the canonical data model.
- Apply API versioning standards and ensure specifications are kept current on the developer portal.
2. Testing & Quality
- Write unit, integration, and contract tests covering happy path, validation errors, idempotency, and downstream failure scenarios.
- Ensure all integration work conforms to reference architecture standards and meets the requirements for sign-off prior to release.
3. Operations & Support
- Implement structured logging, correlation ID propagation, and mandatory log events.
- Troubleshoot and support integrations across development, test, and production environments.
4. Standards, Security & Collaboration
- Build and support integrations in line with the Integration Reference Architecture.
- Ensure integrations meet the platform's security and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, product owners, and architects to clarify requirements and design decisions.
Must Haves:
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 4+ years experience building integrations, ideally with Microsoft Azure Integration Services.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and work with existing integration codebases and specifications.
- Solid understanding of API-led connectivity and event-driven architecture patterns.
