Job summary

Maybank Investment Banking Group in the Philippines seeks a dynamic equities trading professional to service UHNI and institutional clients within a fast-paced, hybrid setup.

You will engage with top clients, execute trades, and deliver market insights while collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service. This role offers exposure to both retail and institutional equities operations and opportunities for cross-country engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 1–2 years in equities sales/trading.
• PSE/SEC licenses are a plus.
• Fresh graduates with strong market interest welcome.

Responsibilities

• Execute equity trades for UHNI clients on the PSE.
• Provide daily coverage via calls, emails, and messaging.
• Promote investment opportunities from Maybank groups.
• Assist clients in account opening and inquiries.
• Support client servicing via WhatsApp/Viber group chats.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, operations and Maybank entities.
• Meet monthly and year-end revenue targets.
• Provide backup to Institutional Equities Dealing Team.

Job description

This is a hybrid role with exposure to both ultra-high net worth (UHNI) retail clients and institutional trading, offering you the opportunity to sharpen your execution skills, deepen client relationships, and grow professionally within the Maybank ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute equity trades for ultra-high net worth clients on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) with accuracy and speed.
• Provide daily coverage and engagement to UHNI clients via calls, emails, and messaging platforms.
• Promote investment opportunities through research and economic insights from Maybank Investment Banking Group (MIBG) and Maybank Securities Philippines (MSPH).
• Offer margin products and other value-added services to qualified UHNI clients.
• Assist clients in the account opening process and address trading-related inquiries and post-trade concerns.
• Support client servicing through selective digital marketing via WhatsApp/Viber retail group chats.
• Collaborate with internal teams—including compliance, risk, operations - and other Maybank Group entities for client events, roadshows, and learning sessions.
• Meet monthly and year-end revenue and performance targets.
• Provide backup support to the Institutional Equities Dealing Team, when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related fields.
• Preferably 1-2 years of experience in equities sales, trading, or brokerage.
• PSE/SEC-related licenses are an advantage
• Open to highly motivated fresh graduates with strong market interest and potential.

Technical and Soft Skills

• Strong understanding of equity markets, with working knowledge of both retail brokerage operations and institutional trade execution.
• Ability to support clients through broker-assisted channels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital communication tools (e.g., Viber, WhatsApp), used for client servicing and engagement.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, especially with high-net-worth clients and internal teams.
• Sales-driven, resourceful, and results-oriented; able to meet revenue, volume, and performance targets.
• Highly organized, professional, and attentive to detail particularly in trade execution and compliance.
• Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in both fast-paced team environments and independently when needed.
