Job summary

Togetherhood is expanding a network of instructors to teach STEM to K-12 students in Boston schools and communities. Opportunities range from 6 weeks to 18 weeks, with after‑school classes paid per class or per student. This is a contracted, supplemental 1099 role with a materials budget for classes that require one.

We’re seeking enthusiastic instructors with STEM expertise who can create engaging, hands‑on lessons and foster inclusive, joyful learning environments for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching school age children.
• Subject matter expertise in STEM.
• Ability to build hands-on projects with kids.
• Ability to create a fun, structured and inclusive classroom.

Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate STEM curriculum for after‑school students.
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise.
• Establish a structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged.
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for students of varying skill levels.
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment.
