Vestas seeks an experienced Insights Specialist to partner with business stakeholders, deliver scalable analytics solutions, and drive data storytelling across SAP Datasphere, Snowflake, SAC, PowerBI and Tableau. This role focuses on business engagement and capability building within Procurement Analytics.

You will be the SME for data staging, analysis, and visualization, ensuring data models and reporting align with procurement and risk management needs in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years in data analytics, BI or data specialist roles.
• Demonstrated experience in data storytelling and delivering analytics that drive decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management and clear communication with business and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to identify analytics needs and align IT solutions.
• Create and maintain technical docs for analytics tools and dashboards.
• Enable data-driven decision making through scalable analytics and data storytelling.

Job Description

Procurement Insights and Risk team enables the Procurement organization to unlock business value by delivering insights through data analysis and analytical tools to support data-driven decision making in various processes of procurement and risk management.

Responsibilities

This is a business-facing role within the Procurement organization, focusing on two key areas to deliver the Procurement analytics agenda:

Business Engagement and Capability Building

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand and identify analytics needs / requirements and collaborate with the IT organization to align and deliver necessary changes in our systems
• Responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation on the analytics tools and dashboards
• Support capability building internally in the team and with the broader procurement organization to enable data-driven decision making
• Collaborate internally in defining best practices for data, data models, data storytelling and analysis

Insights and Analytics

• Recommend and deliver data analysis and sustainable/scalable analytics tools/dashboards that fulfil business needs
• Act as the SME for Procurement on the following activities:
  • Data staging in SAP Datasphere and Microsoft Snowflake
  • Data analysis and visualisation / data storytelling in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), PowerBI, Excel
  • Data modelling and data architecture for reporting and data analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field
• At least 8 years working experience in the same capacity as data analyst / specialist, business intelligence (BI) manager with the above responsibilities
• Adept at stakeholder management – both business and IT; able to communicate clearly and effectively, especially with business stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in data storytelling (SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), PowerBI, Tableau, or similar)
• Proficient in SQL and have demonstrated experience in data staging / ETL activities (SAP Datasphere, Microsoft Snowflake, or similar)
• Experience and an understanding of Procurement / Quality processes and measures a big plus
• Experience in using SAP Datasphere and/or Microsoft Snowflake a plus
• Attentive to details and have great collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
