Qualifications

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will oversee, secure, and innovate IT systems across the enterprise. From strategic transformation projects to C-suite tech consultations, you'll ensure business continuity, security compliance, and performance optimization.

Shift: Day Shift, Weekends Off
Work Setup: 1 month onsite at SM Mega Tower, then Hybrid - 3 days onsite and 2 days WFH

The Qualifications We Seek

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in network management, routing, security, systems administration, and cloud technologies
  • Experience managing and deploying common Azure services; designing, implementing, managing Azure cloud networking and security
  • Experience with endpoint, email, and internet security concepts and tools
  • Proficiency in automation, scripting, and programming languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell
  • Experience across a broad tech stack: M365, VMware, Veeam, Palo Alto, Intune, Defender, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Sentinel, SD-WAN amongst others
  • Proficiency in implementing security measures, such as firewall policies and IPSec tunnels
  • Understanding of security best practices, including encryption, identity management, access control, network security, and compliance standards such as (ACSC) Essential Eight
  • Experience in deployment and administration of databases (MSSQL, Azure Cosmos, Azure SQL as service) is desirable

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology
  • Recognised industry certifications from vendors such as Microsoft, Vmware, Cisco, CompTIA
  • Certifications associated with Cloud services; Azure preferred
  • Any other relevant industry certification would be an advantage

Your Daily Tasks

  • Maintain the network infrastructure hardware and software including but not limited to servers, switches, storage and peripherals.
  • Provide input into digital experience improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to IT strategy discussions.
  • Be capable of presenting to C-suite audience.
  • Project manage large scale IT Transformation initiatives.
  • Provide budgetary recommendations to assist the firm with its strategic goals.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards and routine automation.
  • Act as an escalation point for Junior team members.
  • Ensure site SLAs on support calls are maintained.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and documentation related to network, server systems, hardware, software, security and backup.
  • Ensure the organisation is adequately protected from malicious threats.
  • Ensure IT systems are adequately patched according to vendor requirements.
  • Ensure proper data backup and disaster recovery operations. Address issues with the design/operation of the network and IT systems.
  • Maintain datacentre environmental and monitoring equipment.
  • Conduct regional office IT reviews consistent with organisational objectives including travel to other RSM Australia offices.
  • Provide occasional guidance/training, some of which is technical.
  • Perform root cause analysis and make recommendations to reduce IT systems incident rate.
