A leading company in the Food & Nutrition sector is seeking a Business Development professional to enhance supplier relationships and drive profitable growth across several markets in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in relevant fields, a Bachelor's degree, and strong skills in communication and business management. You will be responsible for optimizing product portfolios and ensuring compliance with contracts while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

Job description

This role is open to candidates residing in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, or the Philippines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The candidate is to grow the relationship with a set of specific Suppliers (Food & Beverage and Nutrition Ingredient Manufacturers) and drive the business with respective country champions to achieve budget and ensure profitable growth

  • Manage and monitor the demand & supply (stock inventory) to ensure healthy levels of inventory and sell-out by country business teams to customers

  • Ensure business managers establish an active pipeline of new business opportunities for the products and generate new revenue from it

  • Provide market intelligence, market trends and performance reports to key suppliers and conduct periodic business reviews

  • Optimize product portfolio by country/region consistent with customers’ need and identify “white spot” opportunities of new products/suppliers and pitch for distributorship and ensure compliance and legal contracts are set in place

  • Develop product management strategy and reviewing of the contracts with suppliers

  • Share best practices and application growth ideas across the region

  • Collaborate and work with global Food & Nutrition platform

  • Other duties as assigned by the manager

Job Requirement/Specification:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Food Science, Chemicals or related field preferred

  • Experience: 5 – 8 years in sales & marketing / business development / industry development / product management in the Food Nutrition industry preferred.
