Job summary

onsemi in the Philippines is seeking an IPQA Inspector to support quality and reliability process control, ensuring product quality meets customer requirements.

The role reports to QA Supervisor and involves visual inspection, testing, and problem-solving across manufacturing areas. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of college or tech background and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of college or tech background, or 2 years in semiconductor assembly or final test operations.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and work instructions.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to generate reports using computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs QA functions: visual inspection, mechanical and dimension checks, electrical or reliability testing.
• Makes disposition on non-conforming materials based on criteria and sampling specs.
• Conducts regular audits for conformance to standards, calibration and maintenance.
• Supports manufacturing in resolving quality/reliability issues.
• Assists operators in understanding defects and quality activities.
• Checks equipment condition and performs minor repairs or troubleshooting.
• Reports issues and suggests improvements for quality and reliability.
• Participates in company activities.

Basic Purpose of the Job: Responsible for effective implementation of quality or reliability process control system by ensuring that the product quality meets or exceeds customer requirements.

Reporting Relationship: The position reports to QA Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs QA functions that involve visual inspection, mechanical and dimension checking, electrical or reliability testing, monitoring and auditing as required per functional areas.
• Makes disposition on non-conforming materials whether to accept or reject a lot, a batch of sub-assemblies or finished goods on the basis of applicable inspection/test criteria and sampling specification.
• Conducts regular audits on assigned area for conformance to established standards of quality and reliability, calibration and maintenance, housekeeping based on standard operating procedures, company policies on discipline and work standards.
• Provides manufacturing support in resolving any quality/reliability issues on product, material or process control problems.
• Provides assistance to operators or peers in understanding the defect or deviation or quality activity in their respective areas.
• Checks the condition, performs minor repair or trouble shooting of the equipment or tools being used to accomplish the job.
• Reports, highlights, makes recommendations or suggestions on any issue or concern for the improvement of quality and reliability of the products.
• Participates in company activities.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

• Have completed at least 2 years of college education or technology background or at least 2 years experience in semiconductor assembly or final test operations.

Skills

• Have basic knowledge of process, materials and equipment used in manufacturing and quality.
• Have the ability to exercise good judgment to accept or reject based on standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Have the ability to read and understand the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Have keen analytical and qualitative skills, good interpersonal and communication skills and can work with minimal supervision.
• Have knowledge on computer system to generate reports and be able to communicate appropriately.
