Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled ICT Engineer as an independent contractor to support the design and coordination of cutting‑edge data center projects across the U.S. The role involves continuous collaboration across multiple mission‑critical projects and requires responsibility for the design and coordination of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems, including structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, security systems, access control, video surveillance, and other low‑voltage systems critical to data center operations.

Tasks include preparing technical documentation, performing engineering calculations, developing system layouts, and ensuring design accuracy using BIM and ICT engineering tools. The engineer will collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and BIM teams throughout the project lifecycle from schematic design through construction documentation and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate ICT and low‑voltage systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and security systems.
• Use BIM tools to model and coordinate ICT systems with other engineering disciplines; proficiency in Autodesk Revit is a must.
• Develop a thorough understanding and delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost, and schedule.
• Determine and expedite engineering deliverables for projects.
• Maintain project scope of work documentation and revisions during design development.
• Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and technical documentation for ICT infrastructure.
• Prepare technical documentation required for project execution including design criteria, technical specifications, and equipment data sheets.
• Review shop drawings and contractor submittals.
• Produce models and drawings using BIM and CAD modeling tools.
• Support coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams during project development and execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
• Proven expertise as an ICT / telecommunications / low‑voltage systems engineer.
• Written and spoken English B1 and higher.
• Experience in ICT design including structured cabling systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and security systems.
• Experience designing low‑voltage systems for industrial, commercial, or mission‑critical facilities.
• Experience using BIM modeling tools and design software.
• Hands‑on experience using Autodesk Revit; proficiency is required.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Understanding of telecommunications standards and low‑voltage system codes.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize while meeting project deadlines.
• Self‑starter that is ambitious and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
• Excellent communication skills.
