Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a PE Maps professional to enhance digital map data quality, validate geographic information, and improve location-based services for global users. The role requires strong English communication and a hybrid, rotational shift schedule to ensure precise updates that support safe navigation and smarter mobility.

You will review data against mapping guidelines, analyze addresses and POIs, compare sources to detect gaps, and document cases in clear English.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication, written and spoken, for cross-functional collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with ability to review geographic data accurately.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, geography or related field.
• Willing to work in hybrid/rotational shifts.
• Experience with mapping platforms or GIS is a plus.
• Ability to use web-based tools to manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review data against guidelines to update global map data in a rotational, hybrid setup.
• Analyze addresses and POIs to validate correctness and enrich maps content.
• Compare data from multiple sources to detect missing features and propose corrections.
• Document mapping issues in English with concise descriptions and justifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams via online channels to align on standards.
• Interpret guidelines to choose appropriate data representation for each case.
• Monitor daily queues to meet accuracy targets.
• Provide feedback on tools and data rules to improve the maps platform.
• Support quality audits with evidence of decisions based on rules.
• Contribute to user experience by ensuring outputs are reliable and inclusive.
• Adapt to new specs and participate in knowledge sessions.
• Share best practices to help peers resolve cases efficiently.
• Align daily work with the company mission for safer travel and smarter urban planning.
