Job summary

PETROPLAS TRADING INCORPORATED is seeking a Thermo Technician in the Philippines to install, maintain, and test thermal and refrigeration systems. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation per industry standards.

The candidate should have a Diploma/TESDA/Associate degree in a related field and experience with HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems, plus ability to read schematics and use testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma, TESDA certification, or Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology, HVAC/R, Refrigeration, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, thermal systems, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, multimeters, gauges, and testing equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and service manuals.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and commission thermal and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, and temperature-control systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related faults.
• Conduct leak detection, recovery, evacuation, and refrigerant charging procedures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, belts, hoses, batteries, sensors, and control devices.
• Calibrate temperature, pressure, and control instruments.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and work orders.
• Follow safety regulations, environmental standards, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to resolve equipment issues.
