Job Summary
The HR Generalist provides end-to-end HR support for a moderately sized employee population,
typically 200–350 employees or 15–25 supervisors/managers. This role is hands-on and
operational, focused on day-to-day employee relations, execution of HR programs, labor
compliance, and employee experience. The HR Generalist serves as the primary HR point
contact for managers and employees within the assigned population, ensuring alignment with
company policies, labor laws, and HR standards.
This role will report to Senior Manager, Employee Relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope HR support for the assigned employee population, covering employee relations, HR program execution, labor compliance, and employee experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supervisors, managers, and employees on HR policies, procedures, and people-related concerns.
- Manage employee relations cases including investigations, documentation, corrective actions, and recommended resolutions in compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
- Execute core HR processes such as hiring and onboarding support, performance management cycles, disciplinary processes, employee engagement activities, and employee separation processes.
- Partner with supervisors and managers to support workforce needs, address performance or conduct issues, and maintain operational continuity in a manufacturing or operational environment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies; support audits, inspections, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee data and documentation in HR systems; prepare reports and analyze basic workforce metrics to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Learning &
- Development) to support consistent and effective delivery of HR programs at the site level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Approximately 3–5 years of HR experience supporting a defined employee population.
- Working knowledge of labor laws, employee relations processes, and HR policies.
- Experience managing end-to-end HR support independently for a moderate employee population.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with employees and managers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HR systems and standard HR reporting tools.
