Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Hotel Income Auditor to review, verify, and reconcile daily hotel revenue across rooms, F&B, events, and other outlets. You will work with Front Office, F&B, Sales, and Finance to safeguard revenues and ensure compliance with procedures.

The role requires Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and hands-on experience with PMS/POS systems, Excel, and accounting software, plus strong analytical and confidentiality skills. Based in Mandaluyong, the position is on-site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience in hotel accounting or hospitality operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily audit of hotel revenue from Rooms, F&B, Banquets, Events, Spa, Recreation and other outlets.
  • Verify daily revenue transactions against PMS and POS systems and cashier reports.
  • Reconcile cash, card payments, online payments, deposits, and other forms of payment.
  • Review room charges, discounts, comps, allowances, rebates, voids, refunds, and adjustments.
  • Check accuracy of Front Office and cashier reports.
  • Investigate discrepancies between PMS/POS and accounting records.
  • Prepare Daily Revenue Reports, Daily Income Audit Reports, and reconciliation reports for management.
  • Monitor and reconcile credit card transactions and OTA transactions and commissions.

About the role

The Hotel Income Auditor is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and reconciling the hotel's daily revenue transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established accounting and operational procedures. The position works closely with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Sales, and Finance to identify discrepancies, maintain proper documentation, and safeguard hotel revenues.


Key responsibilities


  • Conduct daily audit of hotel revenue from Rooms, Food & Beverage, Banquet, Events, Spa, Recreation, and other revenue-generating outlets

  • Verify daily revenue transactions against the Property Management System (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS) system, cashier reports, and supporting documents

  • Reconcile cash, credit card, debit card, online payments, bank deposits, and other forms of payment

  • Review and validate room charges, discounts, complimentary rooms, allowances, rebates, voids, refunds, adjustments, and other revenue transactions

  • Check the accuracy and completeness of Front Office and cashier reports

  • Investigate discrepancies between PMS/POS reports, cashier reports, deposits, and accounting records

  • Prepare Daily Revenue Reports, Daily Income Audit Reports, and reconciliation reports for management review

  • Monitor and reconcile credit card transactions and ensure that all transactions are properly supported and recorded

  • Verify online travel agency (OTA) transactions and commissions, including bookings from platforms such as Agoda, Booking.com, and other third-party channels

  • Ensure compliance with the hotel's accounting policies, internal controls, cash handling procedures, and audit standards


About you


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field

  • Experience as an Income Auditor, Night Auditor, General Cashier, Accounting Associate, or Hotel Finance staff

  • Experience in hotel accounting or hospitality operations

  • Knowledge of PMS, POS, Excel, and accounting systems

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Knowledge of hotel revenue operations and internal controls

  • Highly organized, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate financial irregularities

  • Good communication and coordination skills
