Job summary

ZenQA is seeking a Home Health ICD-10 Coder who will assign ICD-10-CM codes from care plans and related documentation in strict accordance with official guidelines. The role requires collaboration with clinical staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate coding for home health services.

The candidate should have at least 6 months of home health coding experience, with certification in home health coding or OASIS review as a plus. A strong focus on quality and productivity is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of recent experience in home health coding.
• Certification in home health coding or OASIS Review (HCS-D or BCHH-C in ICD-10/COS-C) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assign ICD-10-CM codes from care plans and other applicable documentation in accordance with official coding guidelines.
• Maintain a minimum of 95% overall coding quality score in diagnostic coding.
• Maintain productivity expectations as defined by the department standard for home care services.
• Work closely with clinical team members for corrections, updates, and clarifications to either the 485/POC or OASIS.
• Deal with coding holds and problem charts.
