Job description

The Salon Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the overall efficiency and smooth running of the salon. This position involves a variety of tasks, including assisting stylists with client services, maintaining a clean and organized salon environment, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service Support

• Assist stylists with client services, such as shampooing, rinsing, blow‑drying, and applying color treatments.
• Prepare and maintain workstations with necessary tools and supplies.
• Greet and welcome clients warmly and professionally.
• Offer refreshments to clients.
• Assist with client check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards all clients.

Salon Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the salon, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing equipment and workstations.
• Wash and fold towels and linens.
• Restock salon supplies as needed.
• Assist with salon inventory and ordering.
• Ensure that all salon equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance issues.

Customer Service

• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments.
• Provide basic information about salon services and prices to clients.
• Address client concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.

Other Duties as Assigned

• Assist with special events and promotions.
• Participate in salon staff meetings and training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Salon Manager or Senior Stylist.
