The Production Crew Member is responsible for supporting the production process across various stages, from preparation to completion. This role involves working collaboratively with other crew members to ensure the smooth operation of production, whether in a studio, on a film set, or in a manufacturing environment.
Setup and Preparation:
- Assist in the setup of equipment, props, sets, and lighting.
- Prepare production materials and tools required for the day’s work.
- Ensure all safety protocols are in place before production begins.
Operational Support:
- Operate or assist in operating production machinery or equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of production spaces.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of scenes, props, and sets.
Assistance on Set/Location:
- Transport and set up props, cameras, lighting, and sound equipment as needed.
- Assist the director and other key personnel with on-set or location activities.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all production materials and props.
Coordination and Communication:
- Maintain communication with other crew members to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Follow instructions from the production manager, director, or supervisor.
- Assist in managing schedules and time-sensitive tasks.
Post-Production Support:
- Help with dismantling sets and equipment after production ends.
- Organize and store production materials safely for future use.
- Assist with any post-production requirements, including organizing footage or equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree in production-related fields is a plus).
- Previous experience in a production environment preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of production equipment and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work long hours and irregular shifts as needed.
- Physical stamina to handle lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods.
