Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Baguio City, Benguet, is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for a full-time role. You will operate excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders and other machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety and productivity.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of hands-on experience, a valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification, and a strong grasp of safety regulations and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification or licence as required by local regulations.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience operating heavy construction machinery.
• Proficiency in operating multiple types of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders and wheel loaders.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders and other machinery in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Inspect equipment before and after use to identify maintenance needs, defects or potential safety hazards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance teams promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and adhering to site safety standards at all times.
• Collaborate with construction teams, supervisors and engineers to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately.
• Manoeuvre equipment with precision to move materials, excavate, grade and level surfaces as directed.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, hours of operation and maintenance performed.
• Communicate effectively with team members via radio or hand signals to coordinate activities on site.
• Adhere to environmental and sustainability practices whilst operating equipment.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Baguio City, Benguet. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This role is critical to the success of our construction projects and requires a skilled professional who can maintain equipment to the highest standards whilst ensuring workplace safety and productivity.
