We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Baguio City, Benguet. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This role is critical to the success of our construction projects and requires a skilled professional who can maintain equipment to the highest standards whilst ensuring workplace safety and productivity.
Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders and other machinery in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications
Inspect equipment before and after use to identify maintenance needs, defects or potential safety hazards
Perform routine maintenance tasks and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance teams promptly
Follow all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and adhering to site safety standards at all times
Collaborate with construction teams, supervisors and engineers to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately
Manoeuvre equipment with precision to move materials, excavate, grade and level surfaces as directed
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, hours of operation and maintenance performed
Communicate effectively with team members via radio or hand signals to coordinate activities on site
Adhere to environmental and sustainability practices whilst operating equipment
Valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification or licence as required by local regulations
Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience operating heavy construction machinery
Demonstrated proficiency in operating multiple types of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders and wheel loaders
Strong understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards and workplace safety practices
