Job summary

ECLARO is seeking an Underwriting Assistant for US Healthcare to support underwriting transactions, prepare files, provide rating support, and assist with quotes, binders, and endorsements.

Ideal candidates have a degree and insurance exposure, strong Excel/Word and a customer‑service mindset, and are able to work the Night Shift (9pm–6am MNL) in a growing specialty (re)insurance operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical degree preferred.
• 2+ years insurance industry experience preferred.
• 1 year of insurance product line experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance policy forms and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical: identify problems, extract data, develop solutions.
• Strong MS Word, Excel, and ImageRight proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform underwriting support activities for underwriting transactions and documentation.
• Develop proficiency in basic underwriting analysis and file preparation.
• Provide accurate rating support for new business submissions and renewals.
• Support production of quotes, binders, and processing endorsements.
• Issue renewal policies as instructed by the underwriting team.
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset with underwriters and contacts.
• Collaborate with internal/external contacts to meet client expectations.
• Interact with various business partners and departments.
• Meet departmental service standards for each process.
• Partner with operations/tech teams for system enhancements and process improvements.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
