About the job: Head - People Relations & HR Governance - E

Job Purpose

Provides leadership, support, advocacy, and strategic vision for Employee Relations initiatives to support the overall goals of the HR Group and the Bank. The Head of Employee Relations is responsible for the administration, coordination, and evaluation of Employee Relations functions, including disciplinary and labor relations cases.

Case Management

Implements and administers the Bank's Code of Discipline and Ethics (CODE) in compliance with due process; provides advice to various units on matters pertaining to the CODE and related HR policies.

Labor Relations

Provides advice and counseling to managers, supervisors, and staff regarding personnel practices, policies, and employment laws. Conducts orientation/seminars on labor standards and labor relations as needed. Renders advice and opinions on employee and line manager queries regarding labor laws, rules, regulations, and other employment issues.

Governance and Education

Reviews current Employee Relations policies, processes, and procedures, and recommends revisions if necessary. Assists in reviewing various HR policies (processes and templates) and provides advice on labor and legal implications.

Educational Requirements

Graduate of Psychology or Social Science; a degree in Law is preferred.

At least 10 years of experience in Employee Relations, with 5 years in a managerial or leadership role. Practice in Labor Law is preferred.
