Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai seeks a Head of Systematic Investing to design and lead a scalable quant platform for an Absolute Returns Fund, focusing on alpha generation and robust risk controls.

This role combines architecture, research, portfolio management, and platform-building, including onboarding PMs and coordinating with sales for client engagement.

The ideal candidate has a proven Indian equity track record, entrepreneurial mindset, 10–18+ years, and a strong institutional network.

Qualifications

• 10–18+ years in Indian equity markets.
• Proven alpha generation (long/short preferred).
• Strong quantitative skills.
• Experience in AIF / PMS / hedge funds.
• Prior PM experience and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute systematic strategies (absolute returns, long/short, quant, options) and set risk controls.
• Define gross/net exposure ranges and leverage framework; ensure disciplined drawdown management.
• Onboard PMs, build the platform, and co-create tech infrastructure.
• Coordinate with compliance, fund admins, custodians, and auditors; maintain risk dashboards.
• Support fundraising and create compelling client communications about fund performance.
