Job summary

Harvest International School seeks a seasoned Curriculum Head – Science to lead curriculum design, implementation, and academic quality across grades. You will guide teacher development, assessment design, and instructional coaching to elevate Science education in a thriving learning community.

The ideal candidate brings 8–12+ years in Science education with leadership experience and a strong track record in content creation, evaluation, and experiential learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Additional qualification in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or Educational Leadership desirable.
• 8–12+ years of experience in Science education with progression into curriculum, academic, or instructional leadership.
• Proven expertise in Science curriculum development, teacher training, assessment design, instructional coaching, and academic evaluation.
• Strong experience in developing teaching-learning resources, assessment frameworks, question papers, and subject-specific content.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, review, mapping, sequencing, and progression of the Science curriculum across grades, ensuring clear learning outcomes.
• Develop, review, and standardise high-quality Science content including lesson plans, teacher guides, student modules, worksheets, resources, and projects.
• Ensure content is scientifically accurate, age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned, engaging, and progressively scaffolded with emphasis on understanding and reasoning.
• Lead the development and QA of question banks, papers, rubrics, and formative assessment resources aligned to learning outcomes.
• Strengthen laboratory work, experimentation, inquiry, projects, and STEM connections within the curriculum.
• Design and deliver professional development to strengthen Science pedagogy, lesson design, and assessment practices.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable feedback to improve teaching quality.
• Analyze student performance to identify gaps and inform curriculum and intervention improvements.
• Build and maintain a structured repository of Science teaching, learning, and assessment resources.
• Stay updated on Science education developments and technology to continuously enhance content and practices.
• Collaborate with Principal and academic leaders to set priorities and maintain standards.
