Job Description
Operations and Compliance
- Drives the transformation mindset of the departments under Operations Group by facilitating process analysis, gap assessments and applying continuous process improvement.
- Oversees the performance and output of the Operations Group (BD and Engineering Departments), acts as adviser in terms of process improvements and operational strategies.
- Ensures that BD and Engineering Departments' projects and programs are aligned with the company's overall direction.
- Determines how the projects or programs are measured; monitors the result against targets and ensure that these are aligned with the charter.
- Enables BD and Engineering Department leaders by equipping them with the necessary project management or process improvement tools or methodologies to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conducts health checks in terms of the departments' projects or programs completion including budget and resource management.
- Ensures that operations' processes and procedures are compliant to company standards and to all regulatory and government requirements; flags any compliance risks to the VP Operations and CEO and ensure that these are acted upon by the accountable party.
- Builds strong compliance by facilitating the development or updating of the necessary policies and procedures related to Business Development and Engineering operations.
- Devices mechanism to monitor and track departmental compliance.
Operations Risk Assessment and Control
- Facilitates the coordination and collaboration of BD and Engineering departments with other functional areas and key stakeholders to manage and have an integrated view of operational risks.
- Provides guidance on the identification and implementation of appropriate risk controls to prevent future loss or unnecessary operational costs to the company.
- Ensures that risk mitigation plans are acted upon by the concerned unit; tags the appropriate party responsible and accountable for the risk mitigation (if outside operations).
Stakeholder Management
- Drives transparency of the operational processes and risks to ensure that important decisions and critical responsibilities are carried out by the Operations Group.
- Manage various stakeholders. Identify and implement measures to manage change impact.
- Leads and facilitates the development and implementation of the transition and communication plans to all stakeholders.
- Provides regular updates and timely report to the CEO in terms of the performance and output delivery of the Operations Group.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in business administration/management or relevant field.
- Preferably with Project Management Certification or equivalent exposure or experience in governing operational business projects or programs.
- Minimum 5 years experience in project management or administration of transformational program leading a cross-functional team.
