Role Overview:
The Head of Manufacturing Operations is responsible for leading the end-to-end operations of multiple manufacturing plants. These facilities handle both Returnable-Glass and PET production. The role ensures alignment of all resources with business strategies and volume targets while maintaining high standards of service at optimized costs.
This position ensures compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements concerning product quality, safety, occupational health, environmental protection, equipment reliability, cost-efficiency, and workforce development. The role also drives both long-term and short-term planning to support business sustainability through collaboration with various internal departments, including Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Legal, HR, and Labor Relations, as well as external agencies and regulators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic, tactical, and operational plans for all plants, ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Align manufacturing strategies with broader supply chain objectives based on plant capabilities and capacity.
- Establish policies, guidelines, and performance targets to drive operational efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage budgets and resource allocation for maintenance, projects, productivity, cost savings, yield improvement, and continuous enhancement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in production planning, staffing, talent development, training, and labor relations.
- Foster a culture aligned with organizational values, focused on continuous improvement and transformational growth.
- Lead and support Plant Managers in achieving operational goals by optimizing resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities.
