Job description
Head of Human Resources (HR)

Quezon City, Philippines | On-site | Full-time

RLI Furniture is one of the Philippines’ growing furniture manufacturers specializing in outdoor, indoor, and office furniture. As we expand locally and internationally, we are now building our first formal HR department — and we’re looking for a Head of HR who can set up systems, processes, and culture from the ground up.

This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and wants to shape how an entire organization runs.

What You’ll Do

As our Head of HR, you will:

  • Build HR from scratch — design and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems that fit a manufacturing and export-driven business.

  • Partner with owners to align people strategy with RLI’s growth strategy across manufacturing, retail, and export operations.

  • Lead recruitment and workforce planning — ensure we can attract and retain skilled craftsmen, production workers, and office talent.

  • Develop training & development programs — from onboarding and skills training to leadership development.

  • Oversee employee relations — foster a strong company culture, handle conflicts, and ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws.

  • Design compensation & benefits frameworks that balance competitiveness with sustainability.

  • Implement performance management systems — KPIs, evaluations, and career development.

  • Ensure compliance & risk management with DOLE, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other regulatory bodies.

  • Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce productivity, and employee engagement.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in HR leadership (5–10+ years), preferably in manufacturing, construction, or fast-growing companies.

  • Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and compliance requirements.

  • Experience setting up HR systems, policies, and processes from scratch.

  • Hands-on in recruitment, training, and organizational development.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills; able to work directly with business owners.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives in a builder role, not just maintaining existing systems.

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management, or related field (Master’s a plus).

Why Join Us
  • Be the architect of RLI’s people and culture. You won’t just manage HR — you’ll build it.

  • Work directly with the owners in shaping company strategy.

  • Join a growing business with opportunities to impact not only our team, but also our clients in hospitality, corporate, and international markets.

  • Competitive compensation with room to grow as the company expands.

If you’re a builder at heart who wants to set the foundation of a company’s future, we’d love to hear from you.
