Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience as a cashier or dining/food service worker is an advantage.
• Basic math and cash-handling accuracy.
• Proficiency with POS systems and modern payment methods.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and honesty.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register or POS to process orders, payments, and receipts accurately.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, and mobile payments in compliance with procedures.
• Ensure accurate pricing and order entry for all menu items.
• Provide information about menu items, promotions, and specials when requested.
• Assist in packaging takeout orders and coordinating with kitchen or serving staff for timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station and dining area.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare daily sales reports or reconciliations at shift end.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries or complaints courteously and professionally.
• Support other dining or kitchen staff during peak hours as needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards set by the company and local regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
