Job summary

Michael Page is representing a rapidly growing renewable energy developer in the Philippines. The Grid Engineering Manager will lead grid connection and HV engineering for utility-scale solar and wind projects, directing substation and transmission designs and coordinating with NGCP, DOE, and local authorities to secure approvals.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, a licensed PE, and at least 5 years in power/renewable energy, with strong project management and regulatory

Qualifications

• Lead grid connection and HV engineering for utility-scale projects.
• Coordinate with NGCP, DOE, utilities and authorities.
• Review designs, drawings, and construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead grid connection strategy for major renewables projects.
• Manage electrical design of substations, transmission, and interconnections.
• Coordinate with NGCP, regulators, and stakeholders for timely approvals.
• Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and project development.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
• Review technical designs and construction activities, TE bids and contracts.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables; support commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership across solar and wind in the Philippines.
• Identify solutions to accelerate approvals and resolve bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with regional SEA teams.
