Job summary

MicroSourcing is a leading offshore MSP in the Philippines, offering 100% YOU opportunities and a dynamic security-focused environment. The GRC Security Analyst role sits onsite at Mall of Asia, Pasay City, with shifting schedules and a focus on risk governance and incident response.

You will work with MSSPs and internal teams to monitor, investigate, and address cybersecurity incidents, while developing playbooks and awareness programs to elevate security posture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in Cyber Security Operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) or related function.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, controls, and incident response processes.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and Microsoft security technologies including Azure IaaS/PaaS.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Investigate cybersecurity incidents with MSSPs, perform root-cause analysis, support containment, remediation, and recovery.
• Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM platforms and Microsoft security technologies.
• Assess cybersecurity risks across ICT projects, digital initiatives, and operations; support governance and compliance.
• Conduct security assessments for third-party vendors and new technologies; ensure risks are addressed.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, awareness programs, and incident response playbooks.

Your Role

As a GRC Security Analyst, you will:

• Investigate cybersecurity incidents alongside managed security service providers, performing root cause analysis and supporting containment, remediation, and recovery activities.
• Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM platforms and Microsoft security technologies to detect suspicious or malicious activity.
• Assess cybersecurity risks across ICT projects, digital initiatives, and business operations while supporting governance and compliance requirements.
• Conduct security assessments for third-party vendors, supply chain partners, and new technologies, ensuring identified risks are addressed promptly.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, awareness programs, operational procedures, and incident response playbooks while promoting security best practices across the organization.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Cyber Security Operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Third-Party Security, or a related cybersecurity function.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, security controls, and incident response processes.
• Experience working with SIEM platforms, Microsoft security technologies, and Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS environments.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft AZ-500, AZ-305, SC-200, or SC-300.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ACSC Essential Eight, and Australian Privacy legislation.
• Experience supporting security audits, compliance, governance, and assurance activities.
• Experience working with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), outsourced IT providers, and third-party risk management.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Agile delivery environments, and a strong commitment to continuous learning in emerging cybersecurity technologies, automation, and AI-enabled security solutions.
