Job summary

Hitachi Rail STS is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planning Manager to lead strategic planning across the global network. You will optimize demand and supply planning, manage inventory, and drive S&OP initiatives to improve service levels and cost efficiency.

The role requires 10+ years in planning, strong leadership, and proficiency with planning tools and analytics. Travel and international collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field; master's preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain planning and related areas.
• 3–5 years in a senior leadership role within manufacturing or technology environments.
• Proven expertise in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and S&OP.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel, SQL, Python, or R.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply chain planning strategies including demand and supply planning and S&OP.
• Analyze demand patterns and market trends to improve forecast accuracy.
• Ensure efficient material flow across manufacturing and distribution networks.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Logistics to align plans.
• Support new product introductions, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Drive Lean initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and responsiveness.
